MEET MATT: Matthew Kilbourne is an Independent Consultant focusing on advising companies on building and operating online platforms for mortgage lenders, since August 2020. Before that he worked for Guaranteed Rate; a top 5 national direct lender, as their VP of Online/DTC sales regions, from 2016 to 2020, and reported directly to the CEO. He worked and led in all aspects of the Online/DTC regions from POS to funding, as well as building additional specialty sales teams. Including launching the companies first customer retention/loyalty, product specific and government specific FHA/VA sales teams.

Before Guaranteed Rate, he worked for Quicken Loans; the largest mortgage lending company in the US. He served as Regional Vice President from 2012 to 2015 where he collaborated and consulted directly with the CEO, the Executive Team in many areas including Sales, Marketing, Capital Markets, Client Relations, Lead Conversion Strategy, Recruiting, Business Development, Legal, Leadership Development, Sales Trainings, Licensing/Compliance, Servicing, Technology, Customer Retention. He led regional sales forces of 150-300 loan officers inside call center, closing over 11 billion in refinance volume between 2012-2015. in addition, he co-created the original FHA Streamline project in 2011, which changed the way that QL does business today and catapulted the company to the #2 FHA/VA originator in the country in 2013.

As Senior Director of Mortgage Banking his team set the company origination/closing record in 2011. From 2004 to 2007 Matthew was a Senior Mortgage Banker where he originated and closed loans in 47 states. He also is known as having a large and diverse industry networking base across the country.
